Just when you thought Yamaha’s range of Ténéré 700s couldn’t get any bigger, the Japanese giant has just unveiled the sixth addition to the adventure bike group: the new 2024 Ténéré 700 Explore.
Having only unveiled the fifth Extreme off-road version in the middle of October, the latest version is intended to be a more long-distance orientated incarnation, with added accessibility and comfort.
To achieve the this, mainly by way of a lower seat height to enable more riders to reach the ground more easily and also to aid low speed control, the bike’s KYB suspension front 43mm forks and remotely adjustable rear shock have had a 20mm reduction in wheel travel.

On top of this the front and rear spring rates have also been increased slightly to give more confident handling when the bike is fully loaded with a passenger and/or
